Sub-commander Selok was a female Romulan officer in the Romulan military. By 2367, she was an accomplished spy.

She entered the United Federation of Planets posing as the Vulcan Ambassador T'Pel and established an honored name in her service. When her espionage service was concluded, the Romulans arranged her accidental "death" during a rendezvous between the USS Enterprise-D and the Devoras so that she could return to the Romulan fleet. She arranged a covert meeting under the guise of normalizing relations between Vulcans and Romulans. While being transported to the Devoras, replicated genetic material was found in her place. While the ruse was discovered and the espionage acknowledged, the Enterprise was outnumbered and had to go back to Federation space. (TNG: "Data's Day")
