Zolan's species were a spacefaring humanoid species distinguished by rounded forehead structures and wide enlarged nostrils, and were native to the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

Another member of this species was present during an auction held in Quark's Bar in late 2373. He was sitting between a Bolian Waiter and Ensign Kelly. (DS9: "In the Cards")
