Zefram Cochrane (mirror)

Zefram Cochrane (mirror)

In the mirror universe, Zefram Cochrane was the first Terran to make first contact with members of an alien species. On April 5, 2063, a Vulcan ship landed on Earth in Bozeman, Montana. When a member of the Vulcan crew exited the vessel, Cochrane produced a shotgun and shot the alien. His actions would result in the early expansion of the Terran Empire.

In 2155, Commander Jonathan Archer expressed his admiration for Cochrane's actions and was even in possession of the gun that Cochrane had used to shoot the Vulcan. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly")

Some fans speculate that this Zefram Cochrane may have also been the first human to achieve warp flight, much like his counterpart in a parallel universe. However, there is no canon evidence to support such a theory.
Cochrane, like his counterpart, was played by James Cromwell, but only through the use of uncredited archive footage from Star Trek: First Contact.
