The Zee-Magnees Prize was a prestigious award from the Zee Magnees Institute for Theoretical Research, comparable to the Nobel Prize of Earth, awarded to people who contribute a significant advancement to Federation society.

Dr. Richard Daystrom won this award in 2243, for his development of Duotronics. (TOS: "The Ultimate Computer")

Dr. Ira Graves won this award in the early 24th century for his advances in Cybernetics. (TNG: "The Schizoid Man")

The Zee-Magnees prize was mentioned for the first and only time in "The Ultimate Computer". According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 574), a certificate in the background of Ira Graves' laboratory said that he won the Zee-Magnees prize for his work in positronic neural networks in "The Schizoid Man".

Apocrypha Edit

In the novel Memory Prime, the Zee-Magnees Prize is awarded at the same time as the Nobel, at the same ceremony.
