Yuris
Yuris was one of the Vulcan doctors approached by Dr. Phlox in 2152 during an Interspecies Medical Exchange conference on Dekendi III for research regarding Pa'nar Syndrome, with which Subcommander T'Pol was afflicted. Release of any information on the fatal disease was prohibited by Vulcan doctors as it was transmitted through mind-melding, which at the time was considered an unnatural practice and defiant to their ancestral teachings.
Yuris later passed his research to T'Pol that helped Dr. Phlox develop a better course of treatment for the disease. His reason for doing so was that he was one of the few who had the ability to mind meld. He later admitted this during a hearing that subsequently dismissed him from the Medical Exchange.
Captain Archer later told T'Pol that Yuris' actions would probably encourage others to speak out about the unfair prejudice and discrmination against melders and those who have Pa'nar Syndrome. (ENT: "Stigma")
