The Yeager-type is a preliminary designation for a group of Federation starships in use during the Dominion War. This type of vessel, classified as a light cruiser was constructed from a variety of hullforms, the central of which was an Intrepid-class primary hull. The vessel's design also shares similarities with Maquis raider craft.
The USS Yeager participated in Operation Return and was part of the defense force that protected Deep Space 9 throughout the duration of the war. It is unlikely that this class would have entered full production following the war, due to its 'kitbash' nature. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")

Background
This listing is based on the name of the only known vessel of its type, the Yeager itself. It was frequently seen in establishing shots of the station and its environs during DS9 Season 5, 6 and 7.
This studio model was a kitbash, created from the primary hull and nacelles of Revell-Monogram Intrepid-class Voyager model, attached to the rear hull of a Maquis raider model, although the parts differ from their original scale in relation to each other.
The class name of this ship is unknown however, according to the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual it is referred to as an "Intrepid-class variant."
