The Defiant crew had an appointment on Earth in 2371. Admiral Wright was a Starfleet officer on Earth at the time. Bashir, Dax and Sisko were suppost to be transported to Earth, but were sent back in time to 2024, days before the Bell Riots. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I")
