William "Bill" Charles Rotsler (3 July 19268 October 1997; age 71) wrote short works based on the Star Trek movies Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

Rotsler was born in Los Angeles. He was best known as a fan artist, and won Hugos for that work, but he was also quite a prolific producer of fiction.

In addition to his mainstream fiction, Rotsler was active in the world of pornography, including films and still photography.

He died in California from throat cancer. The Rotsler Award is named after him, and is awarded to fan artists.
