William N. Stape is a newspaper and magazine writer who contributed story material to the Star Trek: The Next Generation seventh season episode "Homeward", for which he received credit in the end credits of the episode under "Based Upon Material by" and was an uncredited story source for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Prophet Motive".

Stape has been a writer (or "Content Producer") at Associated Content since 12 November 2006. He frequently publishes articles related to Star Trek to the site and has also posted interviews with the likes of Nana Visitor and Chase Masterson. He currently resides in the area of New York City.

In 2015, publisher Bearmanor Media released Stape's first book, Star Trek Sex: Analyzing The Most Sexually Charged Episodes Of The Original Series. [1] [2]
