Warnog was a traditional Klingon beer, clear in color.
In 2369, the clone of Emperor Kahless was exposed in part because he could not detect the difference between real and replicated warnog. (TNG: "Rightful Heir")
General Martok often enjoyed warnog aboard the IKS Rotarran to keep him warm. (DS9: "Sons and Daughters")
It is not clear whether "warnog" is a borrowed Klingon word, or else an English word consisting of "war" and "nog" (an alcoholic beverage), possibly a calque of a Klingon word.
Tin Man Brewery in Evansville, Indiana partnered with CBS Consumer Products to produce "Klingon Warnog" beer for purchase in the United States and Canada in 2014. This version of warnog was of the German dunkelweizen style. [1] [2]
