A Vulcan survey ship was a type of survey ship utilized by the Vulcan High Command from the mid-20th through the mid-22nd centuries.
History
This type of vessel first visited Earth in 1957 where it conducted a survey mission, including statistical scans from high orbit. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")
These vessels were among the ships that welcome Enterprise NX-01 from its mission to the Delphic Expanse in 2154. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")
Technical information
The survey ship was designed with a fundamentally oval shape, and included several wing-like segments at the stern. Positioned one on the top and one at the bottom of the outer shell were the ship's two impulse engines. On either side of the ship, behind the stabilizing wings, are a pair of shrouds protecting the warp engine and warp nacelles. (Cf. ENT: "Carbon Creek")
