Vomiting, or to barf, throw up, or puke, was the process of regurgitating one's stomach contents. A colloquial way of referring to the act was to say that one had lost one's lunch. (ENT: "Daedalus")

The EV simulator at Lunaport was also known as "the Vomitorium" for its ability to induce vomiting. (ENT: "The Catwalk")

Jake Sisko once told his father an anecdote about Altrina vomiting onto a table upon hearing that a Klingon dish she was preparing to eat contained worms. Benjamin Sisko was not paying attention due to being infatuated with Fenna, so he described the anecdote as "nice". Perplexed, Jake replied, "'Nice'?! She threw up!", to which Benjamin apologised and admitted that he was not paying attention. (DS9: "Second Sight")

In 2371, Molly O'Brien vomited into her father's lap, having eaten too much candy provided by Lwaxana Troi. (DS9: "Fascination")

When Jake Sisko heard a surgeon jokingly compare the process of eating his food to surgery, he believed he was going to vomit, but did not. (DS9: "Nor the Battle to the Strong")

When Dukat was deceiving Benjamin Sisko into thinking the latter was injured, he lied that Sisko had vomited in his sleep due to a "bout of nausea". (DS9: "Waltz")

In 2380, when Commander Jack Ransom was fighting Vindor on Gelrak V, one if his punches to the stomach caused Vindor to throw up green barf. (LD: "Temporal Edict")

In 2381, after being exposed to strange energy and subsequently kicked in the "neutral zone," Jack Ransom fell to the ground on Apergos, vomiting rainbow colors. (LD: "Strange Energies")

In 2399, Doctor Agnes Jurati vomited after a Vulcan mind meld with Commodore Oh outside the Daystrom Institute. Three weeks later on La Sirena, Jurati vomited after eating several large pieces of red velvet cake. (PIC: "Nepenthe")

In 3188, Michael Burnham vomited liquid onto the surface of Hima after surviving a crash landing. (DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 1")

Ensign Sylvia Tilly wrote a haiku in 3189 based on an "actual diplomatic crisis" that transpired during the 23rd century. It read: "I puked upon the/Tellarite ambassador/once at Thanksgiving." (DIS: "Forget Me Not")

In a deleted scene from "Unexpected", a pregnant Trip Tucker vomited offscreen after T'Pol recommended Rigelian sausage to him.
