Voder

A voder

A voder is the Phylosian equivalent to a universal translator, which is worn around the neck.

Agmar introduced the technology to the crew of the USS Enterprise in 2269 when he explained to them how it was used to communicate with humanoid lifeforms. (TAS: "The Infinite Vulcan")

In the script for "The Infinite Vulcan", a voder was described as "a small, round, flat disc."
