Viterian, a Kobheerian male
Captain Viterian was a late 24th century Kobheerian male, who served as the commanding officer of the Kobheerian freighter Rak-Miunis in 2369. (DS9: "Duet", "Second Skin")
Captain Viterian was played by actor Norman Large, not "Lesley Kahn" as the Star Trek Encyclopedia suggests. Large was not credited for his appearance in "Second Skin".
Initially identified in "Duet" as a "Kobheerian Captain", stock footage of the Viterian would later be reused (with an Avery Brooks voiceover) for "Second Skin", where Benjamin Sisko used the holo-filter to appear as a Kobheerian who was identified as Captain Viterian. Since Sisko was attempting to illegally traverse Cardassian space, and because he used a legitimate Kobheerian freighter name to ensure his success, it is equally likely that his use of the name Viterian was equally legitimate.
