When their main computer is hijacked, the USS Voyager crew are drawn into a dangerous political struggle!

From the book jacket
Under the guise of helping the crew find a way home, a group of aliens board the USS Voyager, and then steal the main computer. To get it back, Captain Janeway is forced to negotiate with the thieves--who are from a consortium of planets where thievery is a way of life. But as Janeway and her crew fight to retrieve the computer in time to save the barely functioning ship, they become embroiled in a political battle the could not only destroy the USS Voyager, but the crew as well!

Background informationEdit

  • The Doctor is consistently erroneously referred to within the story as "Doctor Zimmerman". In some early scripts for Star Trek: Voyager, the character was originally intended to have this name. This was one of the first Voyager novels (published months after the first episode aired), and on her website, the author, Susan Wright, mentions having access to these, the mistake carried into the novel as a result [1].
  • During the Season 4 episode "Concerning Flight", Voyager had its main computer core stolen again.
