Ving Kuda was a philosopher who lived sometime prior to 2366. A copy of his work, Ethics, Sophistry and the Alternate Universe, was owned by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The work was known to Commander William T. Riker. (TNG: "Captain's Holiday")
