Vegetable soup was a food consisting of various vegetables suspended in a liquid broth.
Felisa Howard often made vegetable soup, including peas and carrots. Her granddaughter, Doctor Beverly Crusher, recalled this soup when she was hungry and stranded on the planet Kesprytt. Captain Jean-Luc Picard, telepathically connected to Beverly via a psi-wave device, also became hungry while experiencing Dr. Crusher's memory. (TNG: "Attached")
