The Valo system was an inhabited star system. This system was located near the Cardassian border in neutral space. In the mid-24th century, many Bajoran refugees fled to this system during the Occupation of Bajor. The system had three M-class planets, all containing Bajoran settlements. These planets were designated as Valo I, Valo II, and Valo III. There was also a Bajoran settlement on the third moon of Valo I.
The USS Enterprise-D entered the system in 2368 to investigate a possible terrorist threat from resistance leader Orta to the Federation. (TNG: "Ensign Ro")
According to the script, the pronunciation for Valo was "VAH-lo". [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47, the Valo system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. The primary of this system was a Class G star. It had a magnitude of +9.
