First Maje Valek was the leader of the Kazon-Oglamar.
In 2372, Loran was approached by Culluh of the Kazon-Nistrim, who wished to form an alliance to defeat USS Voyager and take its technology. Together with Maje Loran of the Kazon-Hobii and Maje Surat of the Kazon-Mostral he was invited to a briefing with Culluh aboard his Kazon raider. When Voyager located the Raider and attempted to free Commander Chakotay who had been held captive by Culluh and Seska, the four Majes were beamed aboard the Federation's ship's transporter room and only released after Chakotay had been recovered.
