Episode Links Edit

You may want to review Help:Linking to episodes and films for info on how to put such links in articles; in your case, the "(episode)" was unnecessary, it only needed to be typed like this: {{TAS|How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth}}. The template brackets eliminate the need for the "(episode)".--31dot 01:45, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

Citations Edit

All in universe pages require citation. Also, don't use anything to make images larger than the default. - Archduk3 18:03, June 15, 2012 (UTC)

Use "File:" Edit

Please don't use the "Image:" prefix, as it doesn't work correctly. - Archduk3 18:10, June 15, 2012 (UTC)

Images Edit

Please take a moment to read the image use policy. All images uploaded to MA need a proper image licensing template as well as citations. Images without an image licensing template or citation will be removed from articles and are subject to deletion. If you have any questions about how to add the requirements or why this needs to be done, feel free to ask.31dot (talk) 23:55, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Note: Please do not manually add categories for episodes or films. Use the proper citation method as described above. -- sulfur (talk) 18:09, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

Could you give me a link to the way you properly categorize things?--Noah Tall (talk) 17:43, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

For example, when you want to say that an image is from Star Trek Nemesis, just cite the image (in the description) to {{film|10}}. That will automatically add the correct and relevant category for that particular film. -- sulfur (talk) 17:45, September 11, 2013 (UTC)
This. Again. Do not cite images by adding categories, add them by citing them appropriately. -- sulfur (talk) 14:51, October 29, 2013 (UTC)

Gotcha Sulfur. I remember you telling me this before, I just didn't remember. --Noah Tall (talk) 15:12, October 29, 2013 (UTC)

For episode links, correct your link. Do not create new redirects. They do not, and will not, work properly for what they're designed to do. Also, use templates such as {{USS}} for ship names, do not abbreviate them, and {{alt}} for alternate reality characters. Please see the changes I made to the Wheel article for examples of what needs to be done. -- sulfur (talk) 17:31, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Right on. Thanks. --Noah Tall (talk) 17:35, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Aircar discussionEdit

As the person who created the page, would you mind settling weighing in on this discussion? - Capricorn (talk) 22:27, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

Links to disambiguation pagesEdit

Just a heads up note, but careful on links that go to disambiguation pages, such as "engine" on the locomotive article you recently edited. -- sulfur (talk) 17:10, January 12, 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia links Edit

There's an easier way to do this. Click on "More +" and there's a wikipedia link template there. --LauraCC (talk) 17:39, April 28, 2016 (UTC)

Moving pagesEdit

Please note that the correct way to move an article is NOT to create a new article, copy the text over and then redirect the old. The correct way is to use the "rename" function. This carries the history of the article along, and this history is VERY important. I've now corrected this situation on the mysticism article.

Thanks. -- sulfur (talk) 19:32, June 8, 2016 (UTC)
