These aliens were characterized by a large bald cranium, a large chin and large nostrils and light brown skin. They were dressed in blue leather-like jumpsuits.

Three beings of this species were responsible for kidnapping Captain Jean-Luc Picard using an energy beam in 2366, and holding him with the Mizarian Kova Tholl, the Chalnoth Esoqq, and the Bolian Starfleet cadet Mitena Haro hostages. They were conducting a maze experiment to study leadership qualities, since their race had no distinctions of authority. After Picard discovered what happened, they returned him to the USS Enterprise-D where he trapped the two aliens in a force field. They pleaded to be let go. After Picard showed them what it's like to held against one's will, that kidnapping is wrong, he dropped the force field and ordered them off his ship. (TNG: "Allegiance")

The two lead aliens were played by twin actors Jerry and Jeff Rector. Stated Michael Westmore, "Both actors looked exactly alike in body shape, head size and facial features, so we were able to use a duplicate set of [makeup] appliances on them." (Star Trek: The Next Generation Makeup FX Journal, p. 66) The third alien was played by an unknown actor.

This alien species was characterized by several vertical ridges running from the tip of the nose to the forehead, one wide nostril and small spiky protrusions on the lower part of the face and the backs of the hands. A member of this species worked as a bartender in a bar on Dessica II in 2370.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard was abducted by mercenaries at his bar. Deanna Troi asked him for information about Picard. She told the bartender that she had business dealings with Picard and that he owed her money. She did not tell him that Picard was a Starfleet officer. He was taken by her look and asked her to come back to discuss it after the bar closed. When she said no, he said he knew nothing about the man she was looking for. Troi told him he was lying, and he said that he knew she was Betazoid. He told her that his customers wished to remain anonymous, and if he talked too much he would be out of business. William T. Riker and Worf were questioning another patron by the name of Yranac as to what happened to Picard. Just as Yranac was about to talk to them for a price, the bartender grabbed him and told him that he had too much to drink and should keep quiet. Beverly Crusher aimed a phaser at him and told him to leave Yranac alone. (TNG: "Gambit, Part I")

Later he visited Quark's during the time the aphasia virus infected the station's personnel. (DS9: "Babel")

The alien businessman was played by Frank Novak.
His role as an alien businessman is from the end credits of the episode and the script in which his actions were described as "An alien businessman comes out of a shop and nods pleasantly".
His costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

A member from this species was attempting to broker a deal with Tau, a leader of pirates who stole technology from various starships. Tau told him he could provide him with all the weapons he needed. A member of this species invited USS Voyager to discuss a deal for a warp coil. This was just a ruse, in order to question him concerning stolen Voyager technology. He was in possession of Voyager weapons, and was wearing a Starfleet uniform. He admitted that he had purchased the items from a man named Tau, a leader of pirates who stole technology from various ships. He did not know where Tau was, as he always dealt with a go between. In return for his information, he was permitted by Commander Chakotay to keep the items he'd acquired, a deal which did not particularly impress him. (VOY: "Concerning Flight")

The alien was portrayed by Don Pugsley.

A bald alien with blue skin and facial bone plates was amongst the residents of Deep Space 9 at the beginning of its Bajoran administration. She visited Quark's when it reopened after Commander Sisko and Quark made an agreement.

When the station was under attack by the Cardassians, she was running across the Promenade with dozens of other residents in order to find safe shelter. (DS9: "Emissary")

This alien was played by regular background actress Tyana Parr, who received no on-screen credit for her appearance. According to Parr this alien was titled "elegant alien".
In the novel The Buried Age, this species is given the name "Brunyg".

A member of this species was part of the group which welcomed Captain Benjamin Sisko back aboard the station in 2375. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols")

A member of this species, without wearing a hat, visited the Promenade in 2375 when Captain Sisko asked his son to be his best man at his wedding with Kasidy Yates. (DS9: "Penumbra")

A member of this species was present in the audience watching a Tsunkatse match in 2376. (VOY: "Tsunkatse")

This alien species with a very elaborate head-make-up was only seen in the 2nd to 6th seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

This alien had some kind of tentacles on its forehead and on its back of the head. Another tentacle was placed right under the mouth. The forehead had several ridges and no ears were visible.

A member of this species was on DS9 shortly after Miles O'Brien's correction period with the Agrathi. He passed Keiko and Bashir shortly after O'Brien was returned to the station. He was in Quark's when O'Brien and Worf were playing darts and later when O'Brien ordered a synthale and threatened Quark. (DS9: "Hard Time")

A member of this species visited Quark's in 2375 while Sarina Douglas was aboard the station. It was talking to other guests of the bar and sitting on the bar next to Morn. Later it was passing Bashir and Miles O'Brien at the Replimat. (DS9: "Chrysalis")

A short time later, she was listening to Varani playing a Bajoran woodwind instrument in Quark's. (DS9: "Sanctuary")

She was seen sitting in Quark's several times over the years (DS9: "Blood Oath", "Defiant", "Once More Unto the Breach", "Field of Fire") or walking across the Promenade. This would seem to imply that first contact with the Federation took place before 2327.

A member of this species was a criminal and displayed on a wanted poster in the security office aboard Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Vortex", "If Wishes Were Horses", "The Forsaken", "Dramatis Personae", "Duet", "In the Hands of the Prophets")

Another member of this species was often seen on the Promenade of Deep Space 9, like in 2369 when he was watching the goings-on on the busy Promenade from the second level. Previously he was seen talking to a female Starfleet officer in front of the security office. (DS9: "Duet")

Another individual was talking to a security officer on the Promenade when Legate Parn had a conversation with Benjamin Sisko. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part II")

Amongst the many trophies aboard a Hirogen hunter ship Voyager encountered in 2374 was the skull of a member of this species. (VOY: "Prey")

Background information

The members of this species were played by unknown performers. They only appeared in the first four seasons of Deep Space Nine.

Michael Westmore referred to this alien species as "buck-toothed aliens" in the Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion in the "Tapestry" entry.

Another was featured in a deleted scene from TNG: , "The Chase", apparently living aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2369, and visiting sickbay to contribute a DNA sample to Professor Galen's galactic puzzle.

The complete head make-up of this alien apparently made it suitable to re-use as a Hirogen trophy skull. It is unknown how this species made it to the Delta Quadrant.

A member of this species was walking on the Promenade aboard Deep Space 9 in 2372 when Worf's brother Kurn arrived on the station. (DS9: "Sons of Mogh")

This alien was portrayed by regular background actress Ivy Borg, who received no credit for this part.

By 2372 members of this species had also traveled to Earth; one female member of this species walked along the streets of San Francisco and came very close to Harry Kim's former apartment. (VOY: "Non Sequitur")

At least one alien of this species had made it to the Delta Quadrant and lived on the space station close to the Nekrit Expanse. This resident was present on the station when the crew of the USS Voyager was there and later helped the Voth scientist Forra Gegen create an image of the outer appearance of Humans. (VOY: "Distant Origin")

It is unknown how these aliens made it all the way to the Delta Quadrant; apparently the make-up was re-used here. On DS9, these aliens were only seen in the 4th season.
The alien in "Distant Origin" was portrayed by regular background actress Tracee Cocco.

All four aliens were played by background performers who received no on-screen credit for their appearance.

Miners

These seven alien miners were working on Harod IV and were stranded on the planet in late 2368. They were picked up by the USS Enterprise-D and transported to their next destination aboard the ship at the same time as Kamala was transported aboard the ship. When the empathic metamorph entered Ten Forward, she caused quite a stir among the miners because of her beauty. They quickly surrounded her and said suggestive things, to which Data called them rude. For a short time, Kamala adopted the rough personality that appealed to the visiting miners. She egged them on by asking what drink they like. When they replied Aldorian ale, she said that it was her favorite too. Data, who was assigned to be her chaperone, sensed trouble and escorted her out, with the assistance of Worf who intimated the miners.

Two of these aliens were characterized by yellow skin and facial ridges that looked rather similar to Cardassian ridges, two of them by grey skin ridges on the forehead and barbels at the side of the mouth and underneath the lower lip, and others by brown skin, a number of facial ridges and protrusions and large cheekbones. (TNG: "The Perfect Mate")

Beside the three credited actors, the other miners were played by background performers with the last names Gregory, Wilson, and Lynch.
They filmed their scenes on Friday 21 February 1992 on Paramount Stage 8 and were all listed as "Alien Miners" on the call sheet. It is unknown if they're all from the same species or different ones.

Mokra planet aliens

These alien species were living on the Mokra homeworld in 2372. (VOY: "Resistance")

They're listed as "Aliens" on the call sheets and filmed their scenes on 29 September 1995 and 2 October 1995 on Paramount Stage 16.

New Sydney miners

These miners worked in the pergium mine of the Tigan family at the New Sydney colony in 2375. (DS9: "Prodigal Daughter")

The species is unknown as they can only be seen in the darkness.
One of the miners was played by Daniel Reardon whose costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [4] Two more unnamed costumes and a helmet were also sold off. [5] [6] [7]

Members of this species had an elongated head, light olive skin, and dark markings along the length of their heads.

A member of this species was playing dabo at Quark's shortly after the USS Defiant returned from investigating the subspace compression anomaly. (DS9: "One Little Ship")

The make-up used for this alien is very similar to that of the Caatati from the episode VOY: "Day of Honor".

This species is characterized by a series of horizontal nose-ridges, spaced more widely than the Bajoran ridges, a deep vertical furrow on the bridge of the nose and small indentations on the forehead.

One of Omag's women that accompanied him to a bar on Qualor II was a member of this species. When Commander William T. Riker attempted to questioned him concerning a stolen Vulcan transport, she laughed at Omag's bad jokes. She would later leave when Riker turned over Omag's dinner plate on his lap. (TNG: "Unification II")

Omag's woman was played by actress Shauna O'Brien.
The Star Trek Customizable Card Game gives her name as Calandra.

Several members of this species worked as dabo girls for Quark's. One was working on the dabo table when several Cardassians of Gula Jasad's Galor-class starship played dabo (DS9: "Emissary") and a short time later when Ibudan played the game. (DS9: "A Man Alone")

This dabo girl was played by Diana Cignoni.

Another member of this species was hosting the dabo table when the Wadi delegation came aboard Deep Space 9 in 2369. She was replaced by Broik after the Wadi had played the game for hours and her arms were getting tired "from all the spinning". (DS9: "Move Along Home") She was talking to one of Quark's customers a short time later, when he temporarily became the Grand Nagus. (DS9: "The Nagus")

One of the two scantily-clad women that Quark imagined when the station was affected by aliens that turned fantasies into reality in 2369 was of this species. (DS9: "If Wishes Were Horses")

In order to "persuade" Fallit Kot not to kill him, Quark sent two dabo girls, one of them a member of this species, to his table for him to enjoy himself. The girls were to teach him how to play dabo and Quark told Kot to be sure to ask them about their "double down" betting strategy. (DS9: "Melora")

After this appearance, dabo girls of this species were not seen again.

An alien with just one eye, a large cranium, and a wide jaw was among the residents of Deep Space 9 shortly after the Cardassians withdrew from the station. This alien was dressed completely in blue and wore a hood. (DS9: "Emissary")

This alien was played by extra Robert Jodlowski, who received no credit for his appearance.

She was listed as "humanoid patron" on a call sheet for the episode, dated 18 September 1991 and filmed on Paramount Stage 8.

This alien shares the look with the repto-humanoid species from several Star Trek: Voyager episodes, although the make-up looks slightly different.

These individuals visited a bar on Ronara Prime in 2370 when Starfleet lieutenant Ro Laren was on an undercover mission to infiltrate the Maquis. There were also Bajorans, Vulcans, a Klingon, and a Kobliad in the bar. (TNG: "Preemptive Strike")

Rul the Obscure's associates

These two aliens accompanied Rul the Obscure aboard Deep Space 9 in 2369.

They wore blue hats which caped their complete heads and decorated dark suits with colored straps. Both joined the auction at Quark's for artifacts from the Gamma Quadrant. (DS9: "Q-Less")

Both performers received no credit for their appearance.
It is unknown which species they are or if they are the same species. The script refers to them as "Celestine".

Scaly aliens

A race of aliens with pink, reptilian skin and clawed hands. Members of this race were often seen on Deep Space 9's Promenade or in Quark's.

In 2373, two members of this race were customers of Quark's. Arissa alerted Quark that the two aliens were actually cheating at the dabo table. One member of this race was standing on the upper level of the bar and pointing a ring with a hidden graviton emitter at the Dabo table where his accomplice was winning one game after another. (DS9: "A Simple Investigation")

A member of this race was also present on the Promenade when Odo finally admitted his love to Kira Nerys and the two kissed on the Promenade (DS9: "His Way") and when Grand Nagus Zek visited Quark's Bar to name his successor Rom. (DS9: "The Dogs of War")

This species had contact with the Borg, or at least one member of this race was assimilated by the Collective, as an image of this individual appeared during Seven of Nine's guilt-induced hallucinations. (VOY: "Infinite Regress")

The female member of this species was played by regular background actress Ivy Borg who received no credit for her appearances.
These aliens first appeared as the "Venturi" in the video game Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. They are featured as members of the Federation who have turned to piracy when their sun began to fade.

The salvage aliens were a group of aliens who confronted Janeway, Lt. Paris and Tuvok over the contents of a Borg debris field. Janeway planned to salvage a replacement cortical node for Seven. The salvage alien claimed the right of salvage. A fight ensued and with Paris at the helm of the Delta Flyer II, the USS Voyager crew fought their way past the alien vessels and returned to the ship. (VOY: "Imperfection")

The leader was played by actor Michael McFall.
The other two were played by stunt actress Elle Alexander and extra Stan G. Clayton, neither or whom received on-screen credit.

He added that the first man to solve it, and move only two rods to change it from a dodecahedron to an icosahedron, would have the privilege of spending the night with her. Neelix took a seat at Tersa's table and offered to help with the puzzle if the Kazon Jal agreed to listen to him first. (VOY: "Alliances")

This woman did look vaguely Talaxian and was played by Symba Smith.

A member of this species was a hooker in a bar on Qualor II when the Enterprise-D visited the planet in 2368. Commander Riker visited the bar when he was investigating the theft of surplus Vulcan ships and materials. (TNG: "Unification II")

The hooker, identified as such in production call sheets, was played by April Rossi, who received no on-screen credit for the performance. She filmed her scenes on Wednesday 18 September 1991 on Paramount Stage 8.

These aliens were characterized by a large trunk-like appendage emanating from the back of their head and many horizontal folds across their whole face. Some members of this species were characterized by a dark stripe running down their face vertically.

Ensign Cortan Zweller played dom-jot against a member of this species in the Bonestell Recreation Facility on Starbase Earhart in they year 2327. (TNG: "Tapestry")

This would seem to imply that first contact with the Federation took place before 2327.

Two members of this species visited Deep Space 9 shortly after the Cardassian attack and the discovery of the wormhole in 2369. (DS9: "Emissary")

This appearance was the first appearance of the tailheads as Deep Space Nine background aliens.

One member of this species visited the Promenade and Quark's Bar while Grand Nagus Zek retired from his position and named Quark as the new Grand Nagus. (DS9: "The Nagus")

A member of this species served aboard the Miradorn Theta-class raider, commanded by Ah-Kel and Ro-Kel in 2369. (DS9: "Vortex")

Two members of this species visited the Promenade of Deep Space 9 when Vedek Winn Adami also visited the station and accused Keiko O'Brien of teaching blasphemy. They later witnessed the destruction of the school by a bomb and one member of them also Neela's assassination attempt on Vedek Bareil Antos. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")

A member of this species had a conversation with a Markalian, the two were laughing while having a drink in Quark's. (DS9: "The Homecoming")

These aliens were often seen walking along Deep Space 9's Promenade or as patrons in Quark's. (DS9: "Bar Association")

In 2369 Nog, in the company of Jake Sisko, was throwing small stones down onto two members of the tailhead species from the second level of the Promenade. (DS9: "The Storyteller")

The Borg had encountered and assimilated members of this species prior to 2373, as an image of one later appeared during one of Seven of Nine's guilt-induced hallucinations. (VOY: "Infinite Regress")

Another member of this species was seen in the audience of a Tsunkatse match one year later. (VOY: "Tsunkatse")

One recurring member of this species aboard Deep Space 9 was played by background actress Alexandra Collins, the others were played by unknown performers.
These aliens were nicknamed "tailheads" by Michael Westmore. Their make-up was changed slightly between DS9's seasons 2 and 3 and the black vertical stripe was added. Vincent Niebla worked on sculpting the head.
A still image of two members of this species can be seen in the DS9 Season 1 DVD special feature "Deep Space Nine: A Bold Beginning" and Westmore discussed the make-up of these aliens in the special feature "Michael Westmore's Aliens: Season One". They were referred to as the "Chandir" in the Star Trek: Titan novel Over a Torrent Sea. A female alien with a partially reused make-up of these aliens appeared in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Two Days and Two Nights".

The fourth pictured alien shared several features with the Swarm species from the third season episode "The Swarm".

Unimatrix Zero members

These humanoids were Borg drones which lived their individuality in a place called Unimatrix Zero during their regeneration. One of them, Axum, contacted Seven of Nine and asked her for help to employ a nanovirus into the Borg Collective and help the drones to retain their individuality.

The crew of the USS Voyager helped these humanoids and started a war with the Borg Queen. Several Borg attacked them in Unimatrix Zero and they gathered and defended themselves with traps and weapons such as the Klingon bat'leth. At the end they returned to their Borg spheres and Borg cubes still having their individuality. (VOY: "Unimatrix Zero", "Unimatrix Zero, Part II")

All members were played by background performers who received no credit for their appearance.
Beside these humanoids there were also a Peliar Zel native, a Hirogen, a Klingon, a member of Kelis' species, another humanoid, an Evora, a member of Varn's species, Axum, and at least one Human.
The third pictured wears a similar makeup as the "Reptilian alien" from DS9: "Bar Association". The dress worn by the fourth pictured alien was worn by the Peliar Zel native in the second part. The sixth alien might be related to the "Vorta-eared, three horned alien" from DS9: "Blaze of Glory". The eight alien might be a Ktarian and related to the alien ambassador from ENT: "Demons". The twelveth alien might be related to the "Markonian outpost visitor" in VOY: "Survival Instinct". The fourteenth alien might be a Brunali and wore the same dress Galyn Görg wore as Nori in VOY: "Warlord". The individuals on the pictures twenty til twenty-seven might be Humans.

Vidiian-like species

A species characterized by cranial ridges identical to those of the Vidiians.

The adulteress was one member of this species. She was contacted by USS Voyager when they were trying to find the whereabouts of Gar who had stolen The Doctor's matrix. The adulteress had recommend that her husband take Gar on as a partner in a trading deal. She told Janeway that her husband was boring and that Gar was exciting. At first, she was not going to help Janeway locate him, because she thought Janeway wanted him for herself. Only after Janeway pretended that she and Tuvok were lovers did the adulteress help them. (VOY: "Critical Care")

The adulteress was played by Debi A. Monahan.

A race of bald, yellow-skinned aliens with large eye-sockets and large, slitted nostrils. They had an enlarged skull, not unlike those of the Voth. The side of their skull was striped pink and they sometimes decorated the back of their head with small jewels.

A member of this species sold eggs on the floating bazaar on the Xanthan homeworld. (ENT: "Rajiin")

Another member of this species was a prisoner on Rura Penthe and arrived at the same time as Captain Kirk and Dr. McCoy. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

One female member of this race was one of Omag's two "acquaintances" on Qualor II. Both watched him while he had a large dinner in the bar on the planet. (TNG: "Unification II")

Another female of this race was often seen in Quark's as she worked as a dabo girl there. She usually wore outfits that exposed the bottom of her breasts. (DS9: "Emissary")

She was also working in Quark's when Constable Odo attacked Ibudan and later running the dabo wheel for several other players. (DS9: "A Man Alone")

In 2369 she operated a dabo wheel and served drinks to the auction bidders at Quark's first auction for Gamma Quadrant artifacts. When Q created a boxing fight between himself and Commander Sisko, she was one of the bystanders. (DS9: "Q-Less")

She attended Quark, Morn, and a Ferengi waiter in the background of Quark's Bar during an extradition hearing for Lieutenant Jadzia Dax. (DS9: "Dax")

This female individual served as waitress for Quark during the negotiations between the Bajoran factions Paqu and Navot aboard Deep Space 9. (DS9: "The Storyteller")

She operated the dabo table the same year and applauded to the winning Bolian Starfleet officer. (DS9: "Progress")

She worked at the bar when Quark received a Bajoran earring from the freighter captain Rionoj. (DS9: "The Homecoming")

She was one of the many people watching the racquetball match between Julian Bashir and Miles O'Brien in 2370. (DS9: "Rivals")

Together with the whole staff of Quark's she went on strike in late 2372. (DS9: "Bar Association")

Later that year, when Bashir was playing darts with Morn, two dabo girls were watching the two men, one of them was the yellow-skinned dabo girl and both of them were arm in arm with Morn after the game. (DS9: "Accession")

None of the actresses who appeared in these roles received on-screen credit for their appearances.
After the fourth season of DS9 she was never seen again. Ronald D. Moore said that "I believe we've switched actresses a couple of times over the years." (AOL chat, 1997)
