List of unnamed Xindi-Insectoids.

Councilor 1 []

Xindi-Insectoid councilor

The Xindi-Insectoid councilor

This councilor was the representative of its species on the Xindi Council. Its name was very long, because of its advanced age, and could be difficult for non-Insectoids to pronounce.

The Insectoid councilor often agreed with Commander Dolim during Council debates, urging quick and decisive action against the Human threat. It was very worried about the presence of Enterprise NX-01 in Xindi space, fearing that vessel was the first of a hundred ships coming to invade. The councilor recommended that Enterprise be destroyed, and threatened to annihilate the ship without the Council's approval, if the Xindi weapon was not finished quickly. (ENT: "The Xindi")

Like Dolim, the Insectoid councilor favored alternatives to the weapon being developed by Degra, such as a bio-weapon. However, the Council overruled its and Dolim's proposal. (ENT: "Rajiin")

When Captain Jonathan Archer came before the Council in February of 2154 to persuade them to stop the launch of the weapon, the Insectoid councilor was unconvinced. Worried that the rest of the Council would stop the launch of the weapon, it assisted Dolim in stealing the weapon. However, when spatial anomalies were used by the Guardians to protect the weapon during battle, it began to realize there was some truth in Archer's assertions that the Guardians and the Sphere-Builders were one and the same. When the councilor confronted Dolim with its suppositions, Dolim destroyed its ship. (ENT: "The Council", "Countdown")

Tarik Ergin, Insectoid stand-in

Tarik Ergin as the CGI stand-in

Like all Xindi-Insectoids, the councilor was a computer-generated character. However, Tarik Ergin was used as a stand-in for council scenes, to read the lines and perform the movements as points of reference that animators later mimicked.
The novelization of The Expanse refers to the Insectoid councilor by the name of "Shresht".

Appearances[]

Councilor 2 []

Xindi-Insectoid aide

A Xindi-Insectoid aide

This councilor was one of two representatives on the Xindi Council.

He participated in the discussion about Degra's weapon and the plans of the Xindi-Reptilians. Later he also witnessed the data collected by Rajiin and presented to the council. (ENT: "Rajiin")

When Captain Jonathan Archer came before the Council, the aide was angry that a Human was allowed to appear before them, and did not believe Archer's evidence that the council was being manipulated by the Sphere-Builders. The aide joined the Reptilians in resigning from the council and stealing the Xindi weapon. (ENT: "The Council")

Evan English worked as CGI stand-in for this Xindi-Insectoid.

Delegate []

Xindi-Insectoid delegate

Delegate

This delegate represented the Xindi at the conference held at Starfleet Headquarters in 3190 to decide the policy regarding the Dark Matter Anomaly. (DIS: "...But to Connect") Later that year, this delegate embarked on USS Discovery on a mission beyond the galactic barrier to contact Unknown Species 10-C. (DIS: "Rosetta")

This alien was played by an unknown actor.

Hatchling []

Xindi-Insectoid hatchling

Archer examines a dead hatchling

A dead hatchling was discovered by the Enterprise crew on a derelict Xindi-Insectoid starship in 2153. Jonathan Archer was contaminated by a neurotoxin produced by Xindi-Insectoid eggs, which caused him to care for the eggs like a Xindi-Insectoid. (ENT: "Hatchery")

Soldier []

Xindi-Insectoid soldier

A Xindi-Insectoid soldier

This soldier was part of the boarding party of Xindi-Reptilians that attacked Enterprise NX-01 to take Rajiin with them, so they could use her biometric scans of the crew to construct a bio-weapon. The insectoid soldier fired an energy weapon that knocked MACO G. Austin to the ground. However, after Malcolm Reed hurled a stun grenade toward the Insectoid, the soldier was driven back, quickly hiding behind a corner just before the explosive device detonated. (ENT: "Rajiin")

Evan English worked as CGI-stand-in for this Xindi-Insectoid.
As evidenced by the final draft script of "Rajiin", the insectoid soldier was scripted to be blasted by the stun grenade thrown by Reed, then scurry behind a corner, rather than hiding prior to the detonation.
