In 2364, this ship received orders from Starfleet. At the end of that year, Data read these orders and several others to investigate claims of a conspiracy among the highest members of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
This ship, or its successor, was to have been mentioned in the movie Star Trek: Insurrection. According to this movie. in a deleted scene, Quark was picked up at Deep Space 9 by the Ticonderoga for the planet Ba'ku where the Ferengi would spend a vacation.
