The USS ShirKahr (NCC-31905) was a 24th century Federation Miranda-class starship operated by Starfleet.
The ShirKahr fought in the Dominion War, participating in the first Battle of Chin'toka in 2374.
The ShirKahr was destroyed after taking heavy fire to its primary hull from the Cardassian orbital weapon platforms protecting the Chin'toka system. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")
While the name and registry of the ShirKahr was visible on screen, the ship's appearance in "Tears of the Prophets" was later confirmed by John Gross and Karen Sickles of Digital Muse in a 25 June 1998 post, by DS9 Visual Effects Supervisor David Stipes, on the newsgroup alt.tv.star-trek.ds9.
The ShirKahr was presumably named after the capital city on Vulcan that was featured in The Animated Series episode "Yesteryear".
