The Saratoga's Vulcan captain

Starfleet Captain of the USS Saratoga, a Vulcan, killed during the Battle of Wolf 359 in early 2367. (DS9: "Emissary")

The captain was played by Star Trek veteran J.G. Hertzler, who was credited as John Noah Hertzler. The Michael Jan Friedman novel Saratoga gives the name of the Vulcan captain as Saros, although the novelization of Emissary names him Storil.

Escape pod survivors

Several crewmembers and civilians survived the destruction of the Saratoga by using the escape pods. (DS9: "Emissary")

Flight controller

Saratoga Conn

The flight controller of Saratoga.

The flight controller of the Saratoga was a female Human ensign. She too died during the Battle of Wolf 359 in early 2367. (DS9: "Emissary")

The flight controller was played by Cassandra Byram; the character was identified in non-canon novelizations as Delaney.

Operations manager

Saratoga Ops

The Saratoga's Operations officer

The operations officer of the Saratoga was a Human female who held the rank of ensign. She was killed during the Battle of Wolf 359 in early 2367. (DS9: "Emissary")

The Saratoga's Bolian tactical officer

A Bolian lieutenant, he was one of only two bridge officers to survive the battle. He was later forced to physically drag Benjamin Sisko away from the body of his wife to safety. (DS9: "Emissary")

The tactical officer was played by Stephen Davies. The Michael Jan Friedman novel Saratoga gives the name of this officer as Zar, although the novelization of "Emissary", as well as the video game Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time, refer to him as Hranok.

Sciences division crewmen

Saratoga Officers

Officers evacuating the Saratoga

A Human male and Human female from sciences division crewmen. They piloted one of several escape pods to launch from the Saratoga after the ship's destruction became imminent. Other survivors aboard the escape pod included first officer Benjamin Sisko and his son Jake. (DS9: "Emissary")

The officer on the left was played by extra R. Cox.

Additional personnel

Ensign.
This operations or security officer was in the corridor just outside Benjamin Sisko's quarters when the Tactical Officer (see above) handed him the unconscious Jake Sisko and ordered him to take him to safety.
Command division bridge officer.
This redshirted man was standing at the aft station, where the dedication plaque was. The panel exploded and killed him when a Borg energy beam hit Saratoga during the Battle of Wolf 359.
Civilians in corridor
Two evacuating civilians, in blue and yellow shirts, were seen walking the Saratoga corridors during the Battle of Wolf 359.
