The USS Princeton (NCC-59804) was a Federation starship in service during the latter half of the 24th century.
In 2367, Princeton saw action and was destroyed at the Battle of Wolf 359. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")
The wreck was later towed to Surplus Depot Z15. (TNG: "Unification I")

The studio model of the Princeton (picture at right) was created for its appearance in "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II."
The production staff had designated the ship's type as the Template:ShipClass, and this was later revealed in the Star Trek Encyclopedia.
The Princeton was possibly named for Princeton, New Jersey, the Battle of Princeton, or one of the US Navy ships named USS Princeton.
