USS Intrepid (NCC-38907)

The USS Intrepid (NCC-38907) was an Template:ShipClass Federation starship that was in service during the mid-24th century, under the command of Captain Drew Deighan.

On stardate 23859.7, the Intrepid was the first ship to respond to Klingon distress call from Khitomer when the outpost was attacked by Romulan patrol ships. (TNG: "Sins of the Father", "Redemption")

Chief Petty Officer Sergey Rozhenko, warp field specialist aboard the Intrepid, adopted a young Klingon child called Worf who had been orphaned by the Romulan attack. (TNG: "Family")

The vessel may have named for the Federation starship USS Intrepid, which was destroyed in 2268.
