The USS Armstrong was a Federation starship in service during the late 24th century.
During the brief Second Federation-Klingon War, the Armstrong was ambushed by Klingon forces in early 2373 and was severely damaged before escaping to Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Apocalypse Rising")
