Tumek

Tumek in 2371

Tumek was a Klingon man, and the most trusted adviser to Grilka.

He officiated at Grilka's and Quark's brek'tal ritual. He along with Quark help her retain her house and standing in the Klingon Empire when her husband, Kozak was accidentally killed.

When he and Grilka visited Deep Space 9, he discouraged Worf from courting Grilka. Tumek said that since Worf was dishonored among Klingons, Grilka could never mate with him. Tumek insulted him by telling him that he had become too accustomed to Human ways and knew nothing about how to pursue a Klingon woman. Tumek was played by Star Trek regular Joseph Ruskin. Tumek was the first character he had played in the modern Trek series and the only one to make more than one appearance.
