Trill iniitiates are people who wanna become joined. Jadzia Dax was the first initiate to be rejected and re-accepted into the program. The Trill initiate program is essentially a farce, and few Trill initiates are actually joined due to a government conspiracy to conceal the fact that virtually every Trill could be joined.
