Trekkies is a docu-comedy starring Denise Crosby. It was released by Paramount Classics in 330 movie theaters nationwide on 21 May 1999. (Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 1, Issue 4, p. 7)

Crosby originally pitched the documentary idea to would-be director Roger Nygard on 12 September 1994. [1] Filming began in August 1996.
