Trakor was a Bajoran spiritual writer who lived on Bajor approximately 3,000 years ago, circa 500 BC.
During his life, Trakor issued many prophecies as a result of several encounters with the Orb of Prophecy and Change. At least two of these prophecies, the Third and the Fourth, concerned the Emissary of the Prophets and decisions or trials he would face. Trakor accurately predicted events that would come to pass in 2371. These events included the construction of the Qui'al Dam that brought the river to Janir. Trakor also predicted the destruction of the Celestial Temple, by the Sword of Stars and the three vipers. (DS9: "Destiny")
