Torman V was the inhabited fifth planet in its star system. This system was close to the Cardassian border.

When Captain Picard, Doctor Crusher and Lieutenant Worf were on an undercover mission to Celtris III, they at first traveled to Torman V with a shuttle; here they hired the Ferengi smuggler DaiMon Solok to transport them further to Celtris III. (TNG: "Chain of Command, Part I")

Backgrond information

The exterior view of Torman V is a matte painting re-used from the fifth season episode "The Masterpiece Society" where it was used to depict the planet Moab IV.

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385") the Torman system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. The system was a binary system of two A-class stars.

According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 515), Torman V was a M-class planet.

According to the script for "Chain of Command, Part I", the pronunciation for Torman was "TOR-man".
