Torias Dax was a joined Trill and the fifth host of the Dax symbiont.
Before he had been joined for a full year, Torias was killed in a shuttlecraft accident in 2285. According to the records of the Trill Symbiosis Commission, he remained comatose for six months before he died. In fact, the symbiont had already been transferred to a new host, Joran Belar.
