Phoenix launch

A modified Titan V missile launches.

The Titan V was a type of nuclear missile used by the United States of America on Earth in the mid-21st century. Titan Vs were used during World War III.

A Titan V formed the framework and launch vehicle for Zefram Cochrane's experimental warp ship, the Phoenix. (Star Trek: First Contact)

Either named after the Titans from ancient Terran mythology or after Titan, Saturn's largest moon. Though it is more probable that it was named to show a progression of nuclear arms build up leading to the Third World war, as only Titan I & II's were ever built before the SALT II treaty. Titans III & IV were orbital launch vehicles.
