Guardian of Forever, 2269 — The time vortex seen through the Guardian of Forever

The time vortex is the focal point of all timelines. The time portal known as the Guardian of Forever allows access to the time vortex. Other dimensions and points in time and space can be observed and traveled to inside the vortex. (TOS: "The City on the Edge of Forever")

The Time Vortex is a more prominently featured element of time travel in the Doctor Who franchise.
