Three of Eight was a hologram, based on Seven of Nine, that was a character in a holonovel written by the Doctor entitled Photons Be Free.
She was sympathic to the plight of the EMH character. She pleaded with Tulak to let the EMH go, stating that it had rights. When Tulak and Kymble refused to listen, she attacked them and tried to help the EMH escape. (VOY: "Author, Author")
Like Seven, Three of Eight was portrayed by Jeri Ryan.
