Template:Realworld Thomas Kopache (born 17 October 1945; age 78) is one of a handful of actors to appear on all four of the Star Trek TV spin-offs. His largest role was as Kira Nerys's father Taban, appearing in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's fifth and sixth seasons. He is also one of four actors to play seven different characters in the Star Trek franchise (Jeffrey Combs, J.G. Hertzler and Randy Oglesby are the others).
Beyond the realm of Star Trek, Kopache has had recurring roles on The West Wing and Boston Legal. On the latter, he plays a judge opposite William Shatner and Rene Auberjonois. Kopache also appeared as a judge in the CBS drama Close To Home. The episode that he guest starred in also had Connor Trinneer guest starring and Star Trek: Voyager star Roxann Dawson directing.
