Thomas "Tom" Knickerbocker is the actor who appeared as the holographic gunman Johnny in "Clues", a fourth season episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1991. He filmed his scenes on Friday 30 November 1990 on Paramount Stage 16 and had a makeup call at 9:30 a.m.
Knickerbocker made his television debut with a small role in the 1987 television movie Roses Are for the Rich, a drama starring Star Trek: Voyager actors Kate Mulgrew and Robert Picardo and also featuring fellow TNG guest actor Anne Haney. Knickerbocker shortly thereafter had a brief recurring role on the soap opera Falcon Crest, during which he worked with the likes of Daniel Benzali, Brett Cullen, Barry Jenner, and Norman Parker. His other TV credits include guest spots on Alien Nation (starring Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint, and Michele Scarabelli), Beverly Hills, 90210 (in an episode with Caroline Lagerfelt), Murder One (with Daniel Benzali, Barbara Bosson, John Fleck, Gregory Itzin, Stanley Kamel, Jack Kehler, Donna Murphy, Clayton Rohner, and Vanessa Williams), The West Wing, Cold Case, and Boston Legal (starring William Shatner and Rene Auberjonois).
He had a featured part in the 1991 film Eve of Destruction, starring Tim Russ, and can be seen briefly in 2000's Rules of Engagement (which features Gordon Clapp and David Graf) and 2002's Spun. He also had a larger supporting role in the 1994 film Twogether, co-starring Jim Beaver and Ellen Albertini Dow. In 2000, director Michael Grossman cast Knickerbocker in the Nickelodeon telefilm Two Head are Better than None along with Time Winters.
Knickerbocker works at the Colony Theatre Company in Burbank, California.
