A thermos

A thermos was a type of vacuum bottle that was used by Humans for containing beverages and for maintaining a beverage's internal temperature.

Properly called a vacuum flask or (in honor of Sir James Dewar, who constructed one of the earliest prototypes of this type of container) a Dewar bottle, the thermos is so called because of the Thermos Company, which still markets it extensively (and has trademarked the name) as of 2017.

In 2151, Captain Jonathan Archer offered Tolaris coffee from a thermos in the captain's ready room, prior to Tolaris leaving Enterprise NX-01 aboard the Vulcan civilian transport Vahklas. (ENT: "Fusion")

While Captain Archer was affected by radiation from a nearby black hole in 2152, Sub-Commander T'Pol gave him coffee from a thermos. (ENT: "Singularity")

During an Arctic Circle expedition in 2153, a thermos was delivered by a researcher to Doctor Moninger, who commented it was "just what the doctor ordered." (ENT: "Regeneration")

At one point on Orpheus Mining colony in 2155, John Frederick Paxton offered Charles Tucker III a drink from a thermos. However, Tucker refused the beverage, so Paxton drank it himself. (ENT: "Terra Prime")

In the final draft script of "Terra Prime", the contents of this thermos was revealed to be coffee.

In an illusion created by the Talosians in 2254, a thermos containing coffee was hooked up to a saddle. (TOS: "The Cage", "The Menagerie, Part II")

In 2371, Kes picked up a cup and a thermos of coffee for Captain Kathryn Janeway from the mess hall. (VOY: "Fury")

The term "thermos" was additionally referenced in the script of ENT: "The Forge", as the katric ark containing Surak's katra was described as "thermos-sized".
