The Persistence of Memory is a forthcoming novel by David Mack, scheduled to be released in October 2012. The first part in the Star Trek: The Next Generation - Cold Equations trilogy, the novel will reportedly feature the crew of the USS Enterprise-E trying "to stop the Typhon Pact (Typhon Pact at Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek works) from raising an army of androids".

Mack revealed that contracts had been signed for the novel on 8 March 2011. [1] The individual novel titles and story details were announced in Star Trek Magazine issue 166.
