Texas is a region of the continent North America on Earth, part of the nation-state of the United States of America.
The Battle of the Alamo took place at the Alamo mission in San Antonio, Texas in 1836. (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang", "What You Leave Behind") After the battle of the Alamo and the battle of San Jacinto, Texas was an independent republic until 1845 when it became a US State.
In the year 2000, a company based in Texas funded the project to build the Millennium Gate, buying properties in Portage Creek, Indiana for twenty percent over market value around the proposed construction site. (VOY: "11:59")
Riley Frazier was a Texan in the 24th century, proud of the early Texan settlers whom she considered as her ancestors. The bluebonnet, the Texan state flower, was her favourite flower and typical Texan barbecue was her favourite food. (VOY: "Unity")
