Kerelian tenors were famous for their voices. Nella Daren had heard about them prior to 2369, but still was overwhelmed when she actually attended a performance of a Kerelian and described his voice as "Soaring, incredible range. Wonderful." Jean-Luc Picard commented that those tenors sung nuances only Kerelians could actually hear. (TNG: "Lessons")
