Please explain the reversion on this template, as there was nothing inappropriate about it. Should I get community approval first? I doubt people will object to lightening the mood a little the way most Wikis do. --Vedek Dukat (Talk) 06:10, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • It was pure, inappropriate vandalism. Nothing more, nothing less. Period. --Alan del Beccio 06:18, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • ...No, it was a humorous addition to an otherwise serious page. If it was on an article and I added something like that, sure, it's vandalism, but this is called comedic relief. Lighten up and get over it! Sheesh! --Vedek Dukat (Talk) 06:21, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

I was thinking a picture of the Breen for pna-cite, but non-Star Wars fans might not get the Princess Leia joke on that one. --Vedek Dukat (Talk) 06:28, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • The problem is the PNA template is on 87 different pages already, and your edits were somewhat obscene. I don't mind the humor necessarily, but there's no need for it on maintenance pages.--Tim Thomason 06:30, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
  • If a random IP user came in here and did this change, no one would balk at the simple fact that it is an inappropriate edit to an otherwise primary maintenance templates, as Tim noted. The same applies to registered users, who should know better. If you want to post humorous images, feel free to post as many as you wish on your own personal slice of M/A...your user page. --Alan del Beccio 06:34, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • Thank you Tim, hearing it that way I can understand and appreciate your opinion, and I'm actually inclined to agree come to think of it. But to Alan: humorous additions aren't necessarily bad - look at Wookieepedia and the way their says "We're doomed!" with C-3PO. That's what I was aiming for, not "vandalism". --Vedek Dukat (Talk) 06:37, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Timestamped message Edit

I changed the template slightly to allow for a timestamped version of it. While the standard {{pna}} is still possible, {{pna|~~~~~}} (Note: 5x ~) will add a timestamp to the bottom of the messagebox. This makes it easier to decide whether the message has been on the page for too long already... ;) -- Cid Highwind 14:40, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I like it. It should be very helpful. :) --From Andoria with Love 14:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
