Tavor Kell was a famous Cardassian architect. He met Onaya while in exile. She changed him from a shy, unsure architect who had a tendency to censor himself, to a renowned artist known throughout the Alpha Quadrant. He was quoted as having said every element had to be "of a piece, yet have a beauty all its own." He died young, having his mental energy drained by Onaya, but had still accomplished more in the years he had than most people could in a dozen lifetimes. (DS9: "The Muse")

From Jake's repeated comments, it seems that the buildings he designed were anything but what one would expect from a shy person.
