The Tarahong detention center was a prison of the Tarahongian government in the 24th century.
Quark's cousin Barbo spent several years in this detention center after Quark betrayed him. In 2369 Grand Nagus Zek mentioned during his visit aboard Deep Space 9 that Barbo was released from this prison. (DS9: "The Nagus")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the star chart United Federation of Planets I, the Tarahong detention center was named after the Tarahong star system. This system was located in the Alpha Quadrant, and the system's primary was an A-type star.
