Captain Talmadge was the commanding officer of the 24th century transport ship Dorian in the late 2360s.
He sent out a distress call when his ship was attacked by two battle cruisers from Rekag-Seronia while he transported Federation delegate Ambassador Ves Alkar and his "mother" Sev Maylor to peace talks on the planet.
The USS Enterprise-D under command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard answered the call and met the transport vessel. Captain Talmadge asked Picard to beam the two Lumerians aboard to make sure they are safe and the Enterprise-D continued the mission. (TNG: "Man of the People")
Captain Talmadge was only heard over com and voiced by Terrence Beasor, who received no credit for this work.
