The article on Zobral says that he is Torothan, and then there's also this article. Are they one and the same... or...? -- sulfur (talk) 15:23, October 7, 2015 (UTC)

The planet has several clans, one of which are the ruling Torothan clan that opposes Zobral's clan. So no, Torothan is not the species name and we still don't know the species name. One source for the confusion that I can think of is that we've called Zobral's unnamed homeworld the Torothan homeworld, for its rulers. -- Capricorn (talk) 21:51, October 7, 2015 (UTC)

If that's the case, we should be clearing that up a bit more and making it more obvious that "Torothan" is a clan, those should link to Zobral's species, and the homeworld should either go to the unnamed planets list or go to "Zobral's homeworld". -- sulfur (talk) 22:18, October 7, 2015 (UTC)

I'll gladly look into it (I have still have a very good grasp of the politics of this planet thanks to a previous round of factual cleanup :D), but I probably won't be able to today or even tomorrow. -- Capricorn (talk) 01:50, October 8, 2015 (UTC)
The naming of the homeworld wasn't so much an oversight as it was the result of discussion on the page's talk page. I can live with the solution that was arrived at, but if you think it should be changed, I suggest you reopen that discussion. -- Capricorn (talk) 18:08, October 10, 2015 (UTC)

So,.... Desert-dwellers?Edit

It may not be the most traditional alien name, but if that's what the script calls these people, then the page ought to be renamed, no? -- Capricorn (talk) 06:26, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure about this, as it's also made clear in the script that "desert-dweller" is more a description than a name. For example, the script mentions "desert-dwelling spectators" when describing Geskana. Who's to say there won't be other script sources (from other Star Trek productions) referring to "desert-dwellers" on other planets(?) Conversely, many of the names on our own planet have meanings that are descriptive, so why not use "desert-dweller" as the name for this species. Conclusion? Despite not being completely certain of which course is the most appropriate, I'd probably opt for using "desert-dweller" in lieu of anything better. --Defiant (talk) 06:57, October 23, 2015 (UTC)
I disagree too. It seems more relevant to Zobral's clan than the species as a whole. Additionally, Trellit's species would seem to be more in line with our naming conventions in terms of being the "most official" person (Trellit) of the species.--Alan (talk) 13:20, March 28, 2018 (UTC)
