Yvette's French AccentEdit
I think it is worth noting that Yvette is the only character in Star Trek TNG that we've seen speaking English with a French accent, as it appears that French is an archaic language in the 24th century, and that her husband, sons, daughter-in-law, grandson, and all other people living in La-Barre spoke English in the home, with an English accent. I intend to put it back into the article, unless someone convinces me otherwise. Rgleon9986 (talk) 21:25, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
- That seems kind of nitpicky to me; we generally don't note minor production nuances or issues like that. 31dot (talk) 21:50, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
- The comment has not been removed; it has been in the article since May 10th. 31dot (talk) 21:53, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, thank you, I was the person who put it in the article originally, and thought it had been deleted. I must have missed it when it was moved. I disagree that the information is trivial, but as it's in the article, I've got no problem any more. Rgleon9986 (talk) 21:57, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
- I don't dislike the comment enough to remove it, but we should tread carefully with that kind of information. 31dot (talk) 22:01, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
It just seemed interesting to me that they chose to have every native French person of the 24th century speak English, even in the home, with an English accent, with the exception of the Captain's mother; I thought the information might be relevant. I understand what you're saying, though. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind in the future.Rgleon9986 (talk) 22:25, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
