Appearance Edit

This dude looks kind of like Parshay's species. Make a note?

Who's? I just tried to look that up, and can't find it on MA. --OuroborosCobra talk 07:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Meant Pardshay's species, heh. --The King In Shreds And Tatters 07:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

They do look very similar. Perhaps this should be merged with Pardshay's species? --From Andoria with Love 01:15, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
It's an odd case. Westmore seems to combine the Algolian/Pardshay skull makeup with different facial pieces (compare this guy and Lt. Nara), and they may represent sub-species, offshoots, hybrids, or other species–who knows? Personally, I think it's distinct enough morphologically from Pardshay's species to warrant a separate article, but I'll add a link (and a picture) to the Pardshay's species page. Perhaps there should be a separate article for the theoretical species type? Does MA use battlestarwiki-style descriptive terms for article titles? --The King In Shreds And Tatters 01:35, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, they share a similar look, but I suggest an own article, no merge. The sharpened "thing" starts on the forehead and goes down to the chin. Pardshay's species did not show this piece of prosthetics. – Tom 01:41, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Indeed; after closer examination the front part of the forehead also appears different, but it's definitely the Pardshay's species makeup around the ears and on the top of the head (and presumably, the back). --The King In Shreds And Tatters 01:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

In real life yes. We all know about the re-use of prothetics and alien styles. In the Star Trek universe I would support a note in the background section of Pardshay's species article, as you already did. ;) – Tom 02:14, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Doesn't matter if they're close unless it's a makeup reuse. — Morder (talk) 16:08, February 2, 2010 (UTC)
...which all these species plainly are, just variations on whichever came first. --Golden Monkey 16:46, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Makeup reuse? Edit

Perhaps one is a (relatively distinct) variation of the other, but it's just untrue that one is a simple "reuse" of the other. -- Cid Highwind 17:29, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Removed from page Edit

The rear portion of Yint's prosthetic, from approximately the hairline, is a reuse of a shape that appears on Pardshay's species and the Algolians. {{incite}}

Reason: {{incite}} on page for more than one year. -- Cid Highwind 16:46, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
